LD4H Stands with Folds of Honor
Longer Drives for Longer Lives
The mission of Long Drive for Heroes is to connect our Professional/Veteran Long Drive Competitors to golf with local communities. While open to raising money for other charities our partnership is with the Folds of Honor Foundation. Long Drive for Heroes works with event organizers to entertain the tournament participants by creating excitement when using the long drive shots of our Professional/Veteran Competitors. The goal for Long Drive for Heroes is to provide the event coordinator an additional professional fundraising platform, raise awareness for the charitable cause and assist the charity in reaching their fundraising goals and objectives by utilizing our Professional/Veteran Long Drive Competitors. Additionally LD4H raises awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Long Drive for Heroes focuses on life after the service for both military and para-military members in order to provide support during the transition. LD4H also acts as a management company for Professional World Long Drive althetes and currently manages some of the top male and female competitors in the world who share the same core values as LD4H.
MEET THE TEAM
Sgt Jay Milinichik USMC (M-Ret)
Sgt Milinichik is a Retired Marine who was medically retired after injuries received while serving our country. During his Ten years of Service he was awarded the Purple Heart, 2 Navy and MarineCorps Commendation Medals, 1 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, 3 Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals and various other individual and Unit awards. Sgt Milinichik also became a single father to his now five year old son Jaxton after his wife lost her battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Jan of 2017. Sgt Milinichik also completed his Bachelors of Arts in Homeland Security and his Masters of Business Administration from American Public University.
Brendon Pittman is the Co-Founder and CEO of Long Drive for Heroes. Long Drive for Heroes is a company partnered with the Folds of Honor Foundation. Together, they are dedicated to providing scholarships to families of military servicemen and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States Armed Forces. Prior to Long Drive for Heroes, the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma native served as the manager for professional golfer, Sgt Jay Milinichik. During this time, Brendon oversaw Sgt Milinichik's evolution from professional golf into the world of long drive. Brendon holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Rogers State University. His play on the men's golf team at RSU heightened his passion for the game of golf.
Major Ed Pulido
US Army (Ret)
Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.) is also the Sr. VP of the Folds of Honor Foundation. Additionally, he is a Founding member of Warriors for Freedom Foundation. Major Pulido has a degree in Military Science, Marketing, and Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Logistics Management/Human
Relations. He attained the Rank of Major in his 19-year military career
and on May 16, 2005, he was medically retired from the United States Army. On the 17th of August, 2004, Major Pulido hit an Improvised Explosive Device (I.E.D) or roadside bomb while serving with the Coalition Military Assistance Training Team. For his heroism and valor he was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, and Joint Service Commendation and Achievement Medals.
Shawn Martin is a Co-Founder along with being an extremely successful financial advisor for thirty plus years. He currently works at Ohio Financial Services as the Regional Vice President, Institutional Sales. Shawn is a avid golfer who currently is a member at the Patriot Golf course where the Folds of Honor Foundation Headquarters is located. He is a father to two daughters (27 and 25) and a grandfather to two grandchildren. Shawn has been a huge supporter of the Folds Of Honor Foundation and is striving to help in what he sees could raise even more awareness to their cause.
News and Updates
With the season officially over we are happy to announce that Long Drive for Heroes has a World Long Drive Champion in Chloe Garner. Additionally she won the event in Ft. Jackson with Ryan Steenberg another LD4H athlete. Justin Moose pushed all season long to keep pace with Eddie Fernandez and Mary Driscol for the most viewed LD4H athletes!
